The Value of Timber

Not every tree is created equal. Some are straight and limbless for long spans while others are cooked and have many limbs in the first 8 feet. There are even possible defects such as hollow centers or mineral stain that are often impossible to detect while a given tree is still standing, for this reason, within a given species, there is potentially a very wide range of values. One significant factor in determining the value of a timber stand is the species composition. Ohio timber produces some of the best hardwood timber in the world, if you have mature hardwoods in your woods it certainly has value.

Advanced Hardwoods sells all the useable products from the timber we process from sawdust, bark, cutup debarked slab wood for all your heating needs, and green lumber.
